Movies Imprinted

Memories seem so wonderful, they make you smile or cringe. They shape your personality. One of my earliest memories was when I was 3. I lived in apartments in Corvallis, OR. I was surrounded by woods and a park. I remember wanting to go play on the park that was 100ft away from my apartment. But to my astonishment, I could have sworn I saw bears playing by them. Bears! I may have been imagining them but I could've sworn. I got extremely scared.
This other time I stuck foam up my nose from an egg foam mattress pad. I had to go to the doctor... and they stuck long tweezers up my nose. I don't know why my parents couldn't get it out with tweezers they had. But who knows.
The one time i was 3 or 4, I wanted water. My mom got me water. I decided I wanted milk. She said i had to drink my water first. I am very stubborn and still am and I decided i wouldn't take no for an answer. So instead of pouring the water out in the sink, i poured milk in my cup with the water. It tasted really bad, I remember gagging. Ever since then i haven't liked milk. I always try it, just to make sure because milk is good for bones, but still don't like it. Chocolate milk on the other hand is amazing.
This one time when i was 5 or 6, I found this latin or islandish kind of dress. I thought i looked so pretty in it. It was immodest, I think that's one of the reasons i never like covering up. Well not necessarily reasons, but it shaped me. Plus i don't have sisters, I don't have to be a good example to my siblings. My brothers could care less what i wear. It's almost annoying, I try and always ask them their opinion. They usually have nothing very in depth to say.
I remember clearly how one of my dogs died. It was a Chiwawa, the most annoying dog alive. But i loved it still, I don't know why. I was walking it at my cousins house and it saw another dog. It started to bark at it and it was trying to get out of it's leash. Before i knew it, my chiwawa was out of the leash and about to be hit my a semi truck. And sure enough, it was a stupid dog and it went right under the wheel. The dog's head was smashed and the eyeball popped out. It was very traumatic and gross.
Then this one time in 8th grade, I tripped in front of everyone at a choir rehearsal because i was wearing big chunky shoes. They were soo ugly btw. Everyone came up to me after and congratulated me on my fall. Ironic a little bit.
Aubrey (one of my best friends that i went to high school with and still continue to be best friends with) and I made a band, the goodnight rendition. We didn't have any instruments, it was a big joke. But we did have song, we wrote lyrics. They were ridiculous too.
Also this one time I was up at BYU-I, first semester and I was running on the track. This girl started talking to me randomly. We talked about how she was called relief society president and how it was stressful but the Lord helped find a way. It was amazing to me because I don't think I could've handled the pressure very well. She had such a good attitude about it the whole time. And after she talked about that she said she was on her last mile and she was going to push it. So never saw her again... kind of wondering how things turned out.

Memories are the best. I always find myself daydreaming about some obscure past memory. It's funny how they come up too. The smallest memory can bring a whole story. I should write more things down.

OH BIG WORLD! You took your shot now it's my turn to take mine. You have pushed and pushed and I am at the edge. You have aggravated me in this game of chess. Your move may have undercut me for now but oh big world how you will soon see. You have seen my passion now and it is time to prove that this fire is of a good flame. So long have the flames been consuming the hopes of the future. It is controlled now. It is contained, yet still bright. This passion would not be complete without the ocean giving fuel. Oh how deep this earth is, oh how much there is to uncover. Realizations seem to come increasingly so. Further and further we go, only seeking that there is more to learn that our capacity allows. Yellow brick road of wonder, no goodbyes this time. We go, we go, WE GO! Onward we do. OH big world this road will be too small when I am done with it. This path is long, yes I know. But yet you are still bright to always find, even in the dark. OH big world, fear is gone and is replaced by anxiety. ANXIETY! WHAT LIES AHEAD! Now you have had your way with me, but I will mark my song in this bustle. I will make it sing and proclaim my piece of green.
Oh big world you are the fuel, yes the bright. No longer will I be tossed by thee.
Oh big world. Oh big world. Oh big world.

My Worlds.

Reading really takes me to a whole different world. A utopia filled with adventures and tales of love so deep that the ocean is no comparison. That world much richer than anything that this life offers at this point in time. Lost in Daydreams that string the day along. My thirst is still not quenched. More stories of bravery, epic heros, and selfless chivalry are hungered. I want the words to pour and fountain at me just as the waters of Niagara Falls plummets down the cliff's edge. What is this use of the real world? Yet my daily life is filled with the visions of daydreams to color the tasteless life. The vibrant colors I like to dream turn my world into wonder and creation. I wish to share this light and perspective with others. Serious life... a very strong oxymoron. What is so serious when walking along the street, tripping on something, then looking back to see that there was nothing there. Or even saying something stupid and out of turn to a complete stranger, who gives a confused but uninterested look. People watching, simple entertainment that prays of the intriguing lives and behaviors of human interaction. I see with my eyes the powers of others, the power that lies within. The power to do good, with so many as a beacon to try and follow in their heroic path. My way, my way I wish to take to get to the greatness. My colors, my colors that I may paint this path with. My dream, my dream to build my vision of how I would help this world. Catch the dreams in your hand with your heart and share them with others. Share the good that we all have and are capable of. This world can be as breath taking as our dreams at night. Why wonder?

Wonderful Poem

The Road Not Taken
Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I really love this poem. I was suppose to be studying for finals and I came upon part of this poem. So I decided to look it up and read it. First I really love this poem because many times I just stand at the fork in the road. It is hard to take that first step, It's hard committing to what needs to happen eventually. It seems just easier to sit and wait. Yet, this is not life, waiting around. Life is going and doing. Life is seeing all the colors the night sky has to offer. Commit... a scary word that rarely is in my vocabulary. Also this poem takes the road less traveled. I want to be a pioneer in my day. I want to be different and take the overgrown road. It is exciting taking the hard road, it is filled with new adventures. I do not want to take the familiar road which many have gone on. My own life, my own way. Some advice that probably is not very good advice but... Do what you do and keep on keepin on. Style is an interesting word. It can be related to everything. Style of hair, style of play, style of work and Ect.. The list goes on so find your own style. Make the world more vibrant. Make the world a better place. It would be sad to not experience a very polychromatic life. Relating back to the poem. I think if I were at the fork in the road, I would start making my own path.

True Quiet

I woke up one Sunday morning at 7am in Rexburg. I walked out the door, and there I heard it, the peace of the morning touched Rexburg. Peaceful's definition is, free from disturbance and tranquil. As such, the peaceful is drowning out the morning with flow. The dew sprinkled the ground as the sun was freshly up. The cool cut of the air really brings you down to earth from one's cloudy dreams. Really the smell of the air is rare, that is more tasteful with the nonexistent noise. No spoiling from the resonance of cars, construction, mowers and even people. Just me and the morning sun keeping me company, even the birds seem quieter today. I feel as though they are taking a rest also, as they are nuzzled in their nests.
The deserted town never seemed so treasurous before. The little things carry me from day to day. Simple is best. Simple life, simple treasures and simple happiness. Money seems empty. Who ever heard of a simple lucrative life? Money is complicated, yet comfortable. How much is too much? Money seems like it's unneeded noise too. The problems it causes is because man is imperfect. Never enough of this noise, something is always needed. There's always that scarcity that keeps us from fulfilling every need. In the mind lies what we think we need. Food, Water, Education and most importantly Love. Love is hope sometimes it masks the noise of life. It even makes our vision clearer, our goals more attainable and our life more meaningful.
There are masters of this noise. They are the quiet examples that lead society unknowingly. The masters are those who live the truth, live the real life. Not this empty life that we can be consumed by.
Music on the other hand enhances the true quiet, done right that is. This world is filled with so many different perspectives. So many different arts that enrich the world. The music is there to listen, for us to be enriched. The earth sings just for us. The earth sings for peace, justice, democracy and the good in people. The earth smiles for you and me helping each other. She just wants a better life for everyone. She is in our energy, our sight, and our flavors. She even weeps with us in our times of distress. The wind blows for the purpose of man. The rain falls for us too, giving us life and others life around us.
The noise does not stop, yet we can impede the ability to hear the bustle. And we can escape to the song of the forest. The symphony can bring wonder to our ears. What is silence? Silence is neglecting the strong temptations one has for money, power, selfishness and violence. The true quiet is to live a life enriched with the music the earth gives, the music our Heavenly Father gives us. Even though this maybe as simple or as complex nothing is quite as succulent for our hearts.

Slooow down!

So Memorial Day weekend was the best. I had such a good time with Mara and Tanner's family. The home cooked meals were definitely my favorite part, it does not get much better than that. So then as we were going home, I found a small lake and stopped. The picture does not do it justice. The hills were covered with yellow flowers. It was just so gorgeous.
I need a job soo bad. I get so lazy sometimes. But that is done and over with and tomorrow I'm going to look for a job.
Also it has been raining here everyday for the past 3 weeks. I love the rain and all but I am just ready for Sunshine. I am turning soooo white. But like i said the rain is so good. Idaho is gorgeous with rain. It's just when it stops raining it gets pretty brown.
So this semester is going by so fast. I'm going to looks for internships starting tomorrow too. Sometimes life goes too fast.

Hawaii

My dad works for Monsanto in St. Louis and he has a lot of contacts especially in Monsanto. Basically there are sites for breeding corn and soybean in Hawaii. My dad hooked me up with the site manager and I applied to be a Field Technician (Field worker, manual labor) and they hired me. Also I got my friend Auboraubs to come out with me, which I'm so glad she did. I would have been kind of lonely. Anyway so I work as an unofficial intern at this site in Kunia, HI. I work with mostly Filipinos and Micronesians. Except for the managers, Aubrey and I are the ONLY white girls. It is an exhilerating experience to be the minority. I don't mind so much but it feels like I get discriminated against. I don't really know what to think. They always say " oh you alright? go take water break." "don't work too hard". It's weird.
Hawaii is so different. It's really it's own country almost. The culture is soo completely different from what I'm use to. I'm on Oahu and it just seems like a ton of different cultures are put together on one small island. And they are all sooo different. I've eaten some Filipino food. I can't really decide what to think. You can tell they live off the land in their cooking. The meat is the worst cuts, the vegetables are so foreign and they eat a ton of rice with everything. I guess everyone here eats rice with everything. Apparently Filipinos like to cook with cockroaches and they make it with vegetables a lot of the time. So I've tried a lot of their food and it just disgusts me that I have probably eaten a cockroach. I asked my friend Marilyne, who is Filipino where she gets the cockroaches and she jut gets them from her house. EEWWW! And the Micronesians aren't much better. I'm just use to totally different food. They always offer me food but when I offer them my food they never take it.
Also my Micronesian friend Poll gave Aubrey and I a ride home. He had a wild boar in the back of his car. A willld BOAR! It was a baby but still. I was freakin out. He told me not too close because the pig will bite me ear off. I thought that was the most bizarre thing I would encounter but last night hit the top.
I met this guy on the bust last week and I saw him again while riding the bus back to the house I'm renting a room from. We didn't know it was him at first because he was dressed in girl clothes. He had a freakin bra on. He's such a sweet kid but it seems like he was a wannabe transvestite. The freaky thing was he was sooo pretty. He had amazing bone structure and his guys are gorgeous. He was a pretty girl than I am. It was so confusing. Actually I'm not confused at all, he just seemed a little confused.
Anyway Hawaii has gorgeous landscape even though I'm not use to the people I am surrounded by. I love surfing. I really need to go a lot before I leave, it's so much fun. I love the ocean. Some days working when it's really hot, the ocean just teases you. While the ocean is in the distance it looks so nice to jump in. It's just cruel how blue it is.
